This is the wedding we use to explain Konfetti, because it was the first one and because what happened there is what keeps happening.
Bacalar, November 2025
A destination wedding in Bacalar, Quintana Roo. Valeria and Guillermo. Two sides of the couple who barely knew each other at the start, with guests flying in from several cities.
The couple switched Konfetti on a few weeks out and dropped the code in the wedding's WhatsApp group. Around 30 single guests joined.
By the wedding day they had 40+ matches. The dance floor didn't start from zero: people arrived greeting each other by name, with conversations already going. Two couples left the party exchanging numbers. And today we know of at least one couple still together.
The numbers are approximate. It was so early we weren't even measuring properly; now we are.
What didn't happen
Nobody got exposed. No list on the bathroom door, no singles table, no godmother introducing people. The ones who joined were the ones who wanted to, and they only saw each other. The couple never knew who matched with whom — and that's how it should be.
After Bacalar
San Miguel de Allende, November 2025. Nicole and Jack. It started as two groups of friends who didn't talk to each other. It ended with unexpected couples on the dance floor.
