Konfetti is private dating, only for a wedding's guest list. You know the "singles menu" some hosts tape to the bathroom door? It's that, done properly: only people who want in are in, nobody gets exposed, and instead of a taped-up photo there are matches before anyone arrives.
Here is how it works, without the sales pitch.
For the couple
- Create the event. In the iPhone app, five minutes: name, date, photo. It costs 4,999 MXN ($249.99) per wedding, unlimited guests. If you'd rather, we set it up within 24 hours.
- Choose when it opens. Two weeks before the wedding, one week before, or the day of. Two weeks is the maximum, on purpose: everyone joins at once, right when the group chat is on fire.
- Share the code. One message in the wedding group with the link
app.konfetti.app/join/YOUR-CODE. Many couples also put it as a QR code on the invitation or the wedding website. - Do nothing else. No guest lists to upload, nobody to approve, nothing to manage on the day. You never see who matched with whom.
For the guests
- Join with the code. In the iPhone app or the web version from any phone. Create a profile: photos, a few lines, done.
- See the other single guests at that wedding. Only them. Nobody from outside, no public profiles, no algorithm showing them anywhere else.
- Like. If it's mutual, it's a match, and the chat opens. By the wedding day they know who to look for.
- Arrive at the cocktail already greeting each other by name. And if someone slipped past them at the party, they have up to three days after to write.
Profiles that actually get matches
The best bios are specific and local. Three that worked at real Mexican weddings:
- "I make the margaritas at every family gathering. Judge me by them."
- "The person who organises the caldo after the tornaboda. Yes, at 7 am."
- "I will take the cumbia challenge at this wedding. Looking for a partner who won't quit halfway."
Two or three real photos beat ten filtered ones. A face, a full-body shot, one doing something you like.
The window
It opens when the couple decides (two weeks before at most) and closes three days after the wedding. Short on purpose. After that the event closes and profiles are no longer visible.
The questions people always ask
Is it like Tinder? No. Every profile is someone the couple invited; nobody from outside gets in. And it lasts two weeks, not forever.
Can guests see who didn't join? No. They only see people who also joined. The ones with a partner, the married ones, the ones who'd rather not — they simply don't download the app, and nobody knows.
Do I need an iPhone? The couple creates the event in the iPhone app (or asks us to). Guests can use the iPhone app or the web version from any phone.
